What Are “Energy” and “Bandwidth,” and How Do They Help Reduce Fees When Transferring USDT TRC-20?

To transfer USDT TRC-20 (or any other TRC-20 token via a smart contract), a network fee is required. It is usually paid in TRX. However, if the address has Energy and Bandwidth network resources, the fee can be covered with those resources instead, and no TRX will be spent from the balance.

Energy and Bandwidth can be purchased through EnergyScope, and the total cost of a USDT TRC-20 transfer will be lower than the fee paid in TRX.

Why is this safe?

When purchasing Energy and Bandwidth resources, your TRX remains in your wallet; EnergyScope does not require you to transfer coins to its account (other than payment for the service itself, which you make independently).

EnergyScope does not request your seed phrase and does not sign USDT transfer transactions on your behalf — you send the TRC-20 tokens yourself once the rented resource has been delivered to your address.
